Just over a month since the introduction of the iPhone 5, we once again find ourselves on the cusp of a largescale Apple keynote.
The thrust of rumors point toward a 7.85-inch iPad which may or may not include a Retina display, LTE, colorful backs akin to the iPod Touch, and more. Accompanying the so-called iPad "mini" is a rumored update to iBooks and the much-anticipated release of the revamped iTunes 11. A 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro and a Lightning-equipped 9.7-inch iPad also appear to be set for unveiling.
Personally, given the broad focus rumored for today's event, my hope is that Apple will take this opportunity to offer updates to a swath of its software products as well. Looking at the Apple TV, iWork, and iPhoto, it'd be fantastic to see some iterative improvements for each, regardless of how unlikely that may be.
For the first time in several years, Apple is offering live streams of the event on the web, iOS, and even via the Apple TV. If work is set to inhibit your viewing chances, I would recommend following along with:
Immediately after the event, Myke and I will also be recording episode 16 of Bionic, wherein we will discuss Apple's event and the now-emerging reviews of Windows 8.
