As the network continues to grow, our ambitions grow with it. Our hosts put out shows that deserve a larger audience, and my dream of a career in podcasting is within reach. To get to the next level, we need help. We need a better infrastructure and even more great people to support the network we have created. That’s why I’m thrilled to announce that 70Decibels is going to be moving to the 5by5 Podcasting Network.
Although I'm obviously extremely pleased that I — and Bionic — will be moving to 5by5 in the coming weeks, the true and deserved victor in this situation is Myke Hurley.
For several years, Myke has nurtured a passion and a hobby into a serious, growing, and important business. The shows he's created, commissioned, and supported have all gone on to achieve rapidly increasing listeners, whilst also maturing in terms of content, tone, and message.
And he's achieved all of this whilst working a full-time corporate job.
With this move, Myke might be able to pursue his dream and begin working full-time in the world of podcasting. I genuinely could not be more pleased for him.
70Decibels is a work of passion for all of us involved and, although I'm relatively new to the flock, I'm humbled and proud of all that we've been able to achieve under the stewardship of Mr. Hurley.
As of writing, we've recorded 33 episodes of Bionic. In my mind, it's very much still the beginning for our little show. And I cannot wait to introduce it, myself, and the Sexy Cruise to a whole new segment of listeners.
We'll keep you all updated regarding the timeframe and logistics of the move in the coming weeks. For now, though, thank you very much for listening.
