From the mind of the renowned designer, writer, and general advocate of common sense, Aaron Mahnke, comes his latest project, Frictionless.

Frictionless provides a powerful manifesto, blog, and future product-line for the promotion of a simplistic, frictionless way of life. Deconstructing the boundaries, hurdles, and pitfalls of the modern world, Aaron seeks to provide useful insight into living a life unencumbered by unnecessary difficulties and challenges.

Discussing the binding philosophy behind the project, Aaron writes:

Whether I’m being a husband or father or home owner or designer or businessman or writer or whatever, I am constantly aware of where friction might be lurking. And if I can kill the friction, I will be paving a smooth path to whatever goals I might have set.

I don’t know about you, but I like achieving my goals. Some people call that “success”. I call it being frictionless.

So that’s what this is all going to be about. Suggestions and ideas about how we can remove the friction from our workflow and business processes. We all want to be better at what we do, and the best way to get there is to hunt down the friction and stop it before it gums up our chances for success.

Personally, given my deep investment in the relationship between the digital and physical worlds in which we reside, Aaron’s project sounds fantastic.

In the same vein, I’d highly recommend the collaborative podcast, Home Work, hosted by Dave Caolo and Aaron. As a relative newcomer to the home working lifestyle, I’ve found the podcast to be utterly invaluable in my day-to-day life.

If Home Work is indicative of Aaron’s insightful credibility, I have thoroughly high hopes for the future of Frictionless.
