Matt Alexander
My name is Matt Alexander.
I'm an entrepreneur, writer, parent, runner, and generally curious person.
I launched OneThirtySeven in 2011 as a side-project to talk about technology, design, media, and culture. It quickly grew an audience, spawned a podcast, and helped me get on my way to starting my career as an entrepreneur.
I no longer spend much time on social media, but still have the desire to write about all of those things alongside a community I care deeply about.
So, as an experiment, I'm relaunching it for 2025 and beyond.
If you're looking for more about my professional life, you can find more at mpealexander.com. For unnecessarily verbose opinions and occasionally interesting links, you'll find those right here at one37.net.

Technical Details
A few foundational notes regarding OneThirtySeven.
Key
When browsing OneThirtySeven, you'll notice two circular symbols:
○ indicates an article is from the open web. The post title and RSS feed will link you directly to the linked article. The open circle serves as a permalink to my commentary on one37.net.
● indicates a post written entirely by me.
Does this heavily borrow from John at Daring Fireball? Yes. But it's a functional system.
RSS
You can access OneThirtySeven's RSS feed to your heart's content.
All content is presented in full.
Stack
OneThirtySeven is written in basic HTML and CSS in the hope of providing a fast and accessible experience.
The site has no tracking or analytics. The domain is, however, routed via Cloudflare which provides a general sense of traffic.
Posts are written in Markdown and pass through Eleventy to generate a static site.
It is all very much a work in progress and is highly likely to break at any given moment.
